The Rookery

- a community of Penguins

Welcome to the GTS Rookery community site! Our mission is to build community, to strengthen relationships, to discuss issues (resolved and unresolved) in a civil manner, to vent graciously, to offer ideas for change, and to share the good and joyful things in our lives.

So what is the Rookery? It's a unique, engaging and interactive online community. Rookery members contribute content to this site in a number of ways.

  • Rookery Members can keep friends at GTS updated on their daily activities in real-time via the activity stream, personal blogs and forum postings.
  • Members can create photo albums of life at GTS to share with friends and it is easy! Your friends at GTS will be able to comment on your photos through photo wall.
  • GOE's, worship, life at 422, life as a commuter student-- the Rookery makes creating an online space for a campus special-interest group a snap. Members can create and join unlimited groups; create group discussions; post on group walls; subscribe to group activity streams and more!
  • Got a question? Want to volunteer your services as a Greek tutor or babysitter? Check out the Forum!

If you've used Facebook or MySpace, the Rookery will have a familiar feel to it. The Rookery employs social networking tools so you can make friend connections with other people at GTS. However, unlike Facebook and MySpace, The Rookery is private. You'll need the Seminary passphrase to join and you can only get that on campus. Check your GTS e-mail for this. If you can't find the passphrase in your e-mail, contact Emily Beekman.

This social networking site is for use by current members of the GTS community. A member of the GTS community is defined as a current student, faculty, staff member, or spartner of a current student or faculty member. For problems on campus, please remember to contact GTS Departments directly.
